With over 40 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry, Mr. P.A.P.S. Ariyakumara is the visionary leader and driving force behind PAPS Quality Foods.
A graduate of the Ceylon Hotel School of Tourism (1976), specializing in Hotel Management and Catering, Mr. Ariyakumara began his career in some of Sri Lanka’s premier five-star hotels, gaining valuable local and international experience in hospitality operations.
His leadership excellence soon led him to manage the People’s Bank Holiday Resort in Kataragama while also serving as General Manager of the Tissamaharama Resort, operated by the Ceylon Hotels Corporation.
Recognized for his deep industry expertise, Mr. Ariyakumara was later appointed as a Director at the Southern Ministry of Tourism, where he played an instrumental role in regional tourism development for over three years.
In 2005, guided by his vision to elevate professional catering services in Sri Lanka, he established his own ventures, managing several bungalows and resorts across the island. Building on this success, he founded PAPS Quality Foods in 2008, serving esteemed clients such as the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Sri Lanka Cricket Board. Under his strategic leadership, PAPS quickly expanded to serve over 2,000 meal packs per day by 2016, earning a national reputation for quality, reliability, and trust.
Today, Mr. Ariyakumara continues to lead PAPS with the same passion, discipline, and commitment to excellence that have defined his distinguished career ensuring every meal reflects the true spirit of Sri Lankan hospitality.
